The Decision to Transition Group Coaching to a Women’s Group

Since I started leading women’s groups in inpatient addiction treatment 7 years ago, I’ve seen how powerful it is to have women come together in a space where they can truly be honest, raw, and unfiltered.
We stop trying to look perfect, stop pretending we have it all together, and finally let ourselves be held.
We women move through the world feeling like we have to keep it together, play nice, and put on a mask — even when we’re seriously struggling. We’re conditioned to prioritize everyone else’s needs, keep the peace, and shrink ourselves to make others comfortable.
But when we’re in a space together, free from outside pressures, something incredible happens. We let our guard down. We stop performing. We allow each other to be real.
I’ve always known that women’s spaces create the deepest transformations, and I’m ready to fully lean into that truth. Beginning in April, the weekly group will begin transitioning to be exclusively for all people who identify as women, however that looks for you.
We’ll be creating a space where we can express everything from our rage, to our grief, to our biggest, boldest dreams — without filtering ourselves for anyone else’s comfort.
For those who have been part of this space and are no longer aligned with this shift, I appreciate your presence and honor your journey. I hope that any men who have been waiting for the right time will step forward and get coached this month.
But for the women who are ready to drop the mask, stop depending on outside validation, and step fully into their own lives — This space will be a sanctuary for you.
